Recent Report from Ukraine

Pastor Oleg Bodnar is already well known to you as a dedicated leader whose ministry carries humanitarian work across Ukraine amid the hardship of war.

In his latest messages to us, Pastor Oleg described a season of intense activity. His team's priority is unchanged: to reach people and communities in different regions of Ukraine with practical help while creating openings for the preaching of the Gospel. He sees these two things as inseparable, and most effective when local churches are supported and equipped to do it. Our priority also remains. We exist to empower Ukrainian Pastors to do what they are called to do!

A central part of the work is bringing high-value humanitarian goods into Ukraine at relatively low logistical cost. Diapers for children and adults, food, hygiene products, and other essentials are delivered to the ministry's hubs, from which the aid moves out to the families and communities that need it most.

Right now, partners in the Czech Republic are offering more than a full truckload of humanitarian goods completely free of charge. The goods cost nothing; the challenge is getting them across the border quickly. Alongside this, the team continues to bake and distribute bread, run a variety of projects for both children and adults, and support ministry across the country.

This year they are also opening Bible School training locations in Lviv, Kyiv, Obukhiv, Kropyvnytskyi, and Cherkasy, to prepare people who can serve effectively in their own churches and communities.

To accomplish this, Pastor Oleg needs funds to cover repairs to the ministry's vehicle and trailer, 500 liters of diesel fuel for the coming trips, materials for a new children's outreach in Kyiv, and shipping costs for the "Two Breads" project.

Over the next two weeks, the team has trips planned to the Czech Republic, Poland, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Zakarpattia — the routes that carry donated goods from the border to the hubs and on to families. With so much aid waiting in the Czech Republic, this is the most time-sensitive part of the work. To cover fuel needs, Oleg and his team need 500 liters of diesel fuel ($1052).

The trailer and van carry everything the ministry moves, week after week, and they are in need of immediate repair. A gift of $700 puts both back in safe working order.

With permission from the city administration, the ministry has been given space in a public park to open a children's club: a place for meetings, programs, and activities that bring children and their parents together. This project requires $500 for the startup costs to begin.

Loaves of bread and New Testaments travel together to different regions of Ukraine, so each family receives something for the body and something for the soul in the same package. Postal services carry the bread free of charge to some destinations, but the New Testaments must be shipped separately at the ministry's expense. Support of $350 cover the shipping costs for the next three weeks.

Pastor Oleg is candid how the real scope of the work, and the real cost, is far greater than these we have mentioned. But we serve a big God, and we are so grateful for your support!
